We are proud to present our fifth GRI-referenced sustainability report, reaffirming BIM Kemi’s long-standing commitment to responsible business practices and continuous improvement. As a member of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) since 2018, we remain dedicated to integrating its Ten Principles into our strategy, culture, and everyday operations.
This report marks our Communication on Progress for 2025 and highlights how we continue to turn commitment into action, reducing emissions, strengthening governance, and advancing toward our long-term sustainability goals.

Key progress highlights:
- We have increased our share of renewable raw materials from last year’s 10% to 12%.
- This year, our Scope 1 & 2 emissions decreased by 7% compared to last year. This results from continuous improvements in our production, and we are confident that we will reach our long-term goal of 50% by 2030.
An additional improvement we made this year was to include Scope 3 emissions in our already comprehensive emissions reporting. As this is the most extensive of the Scopes, encompassing our entire value chain, it enhances transparency with our stakeholders and underscores our commitment to the green transition.
Our focus areas moving forward:
- Reducing our climate impact aligns with the Paris Agreement and further developing Green Chemistry.
- Cooperation with suppliers regarding management, reporting, and projects to decrease emissions.
- Continue to take measures to replace fossil fuels and fossil raw materials and to reduce energy consumption.
